The Kerala Pulayar Maha Sabha, as part its forthcoming golden jubilee celebrations it is decided to start a Pain and Palliative Care units. The Ayyankali Cultural Trust , a registered charitable trust working under the guidance of Kerala Pulayar Maha Sabha is appointed as the implementing agency for the same. Ernakulam district is selected as its one centre for the starting the unit in the first phase. As per the Bye-Law of the Trust a local management committee can be constituted and considered for the execution and manging such project. Accordingly, a 10-member Local management Committee is constituted on Ernakulam basis. The first meeting of Local management committee conducted on 18-07-2020 under the Chairmanship of Sri Punnala Sreekumar, the respected Chairman of ACT, discussed the subject in detail and decided to go ahead with the project for implementation as proposed by the parent organization.

read moreThe Management committee will prepare a panel of Doctors from the membership of the ACT and its well-wishers and they will be arranged so that to attend on call duty basis to provide service to patients and their relatives on requirement against free of cost.
read moreAs part of this project, Doctors, Psychologist, Coordinators, Nurses and Helpers have been appointed to coordinate Home Centred care and other programs. The unit will be equipped with a medical van and an ambulance vehicle with essential amenities.
